Sitting at 11.9kg, the cento1 hybrid is one of the lightest e-bikes in the world
Wilier have revealed their introductory model to the electric bike industry with the Cento1 Hybrid. Built off their popular Cento frames, this eRoad features a monocoque carbon fibre frame and lightweight components resulting in a 11.9kg total weight. This achievement knocks the Orbea Gain‘s 13kg off the top as the lightest eBike.

Retailing around $7,000AUD (4500€), the Cento1 Hybrid houses a EBIKEMOTION M1 rear hub motor capable of 250W output and 40Nm of torque. This is part of the same X35 system from EBIKEMOTION found in the Orbea Gain eBikes. Instead of the traditional LCD display and thumb controller to use the eBike, the Cento1 Hybrid will use the EBIKEMOTION app which is available to Android and Apple phones, as well as the Apple Smartwatch.

Unlike the Orbea Gain eRoad bikes, the Cento1 Hybrid will only release with one build and variant featuring an 11-speed Shimano R8000 Ultegra drivetrain. There’s no word of additional builds, however this could be a possibility of the eBike proves to be popular.
